Its resistance to different antimicrobial compounds is becoming an important public health problem. The purpose of this study was to isolate Salmonella from refrigerated poultry meat sold in supermarkets in Aracaju/SE and to verify antimicrobial sensitivity of this pathogen. One of the samples tested was positive for Salmonella Muenchen and its susceptibility for antimicrobials was considered high.
